Engagement: Positive Masculinities learning curriculum, 2024
UNOPS wanted to engage male colleagues directly in the conversation on gender equality, as active participants rather than bystanders. Shiftbalance built a comprehensive learning curriculum from the ground up and piloted it across seven regions and time zones, running up to ten sessions in multiple languages to reach staff wherever they were working.
The engagement also produced a bias-in-performance-management video, extending the curriculum’s reach beyond the live sessions. Shiftbalance’s relationship with UNOPS has since grown to include a full DEI and GESI strategy audit, UNOPS’ 2026 to 2029 DEI Strategy, and an ongoing role delivering the “Ethics start with me” course internationally.
Positive masculinities, seven regions
A full learning curriculum piloted across seven regions and time zones, plus a bias-in-performance-management video.
